This advanced course is designed for those designated to control fire fighting operations on board a ship with particular attention paid to organisation, tactics and command.

Entry Requirement
For the issue of a Certificate of Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting candidate must: (a) Already hold a Certificate of Proficiency in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (Section A-VI/1-2 of the STCW Code) or similar training acceptable to the STCW Standard (b) Successfully complete an approved training programme in Advanced Fire Fighting, meeting the standards of competence specified in section A-VI/3, paragraphs 1 to 4, of the STCW Code.
Certification
Successful candidates will receive certificate of proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting.
Course Assessment:
Assessment is continuous during the course, with a final written and practical assessment on the last day.
